Meet Our New CFO: Thoughtful Leadership, Local Roots
Sam’s well-rounded background—including customer service, lending, and finance—gives her a unique perspective on the bank’s operations and the needs of the communities it serves. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Rasmussen College, is a licensed CPA, and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at UW–Madison. She also earned an Executive Leadership Certificate from UW–Madison. As CFO, Sam oversees all financial aspects of the bank, including budgeting, strategic planning, asset/liability management, financial reporting, and funding decisions.
Her leadership style is rooted in integrity, accountability, and a passion for thoughtful decision-making. Sam is deeply committed to supporting AbbyBank’s long-term goals while fostering a culture of personal growth and education.
“We are very fortunate that Sam has the knowledge, skills, energy and enthusiasm necessary to take over this very important role,” said Craig Stuedemann, President and CEO of AbbyBank. “This is a win-win for AbbyBank and Sam.”
Outside the office, Sam enjoys hot yoga in studios heated to over 90 degrees—a workout she calls the best ever. She enjoys reading and connecting with others through her book club, especially when horror novels are on the list. One of her greatest joys is fostering kittens for the Clark County Humane Society, where she also volunteers. Her passion for animal advocacy and commitment to personal growth reflect the same thoughtful, values she brings to her work at AbbyBank.
