2024 Community Banking Week

This is the seventh year AbbyBank and the Wisconsin Bankers Association have participated in Power of Community Week in April. This is a week for all Community Banks to show our communities how much we care! You will find us participating in things like; teaching children to save, shopping local at various businesses, collecting needed items for local food pantries and other nonprofit organizations, serving a lunch to support various nonprofit organizations, recording book readings for classrooms, and much much more! 2023 Holiday Meal Matching Donation - Double Your Impact!

Update: We were able to help raise over $17,000 between all seven locations with YOUR help. Thank you!

Bring joy and hope to local area families in need this holiday season. Now through December 15, 2023, AbbyBank will match your donation up to $7,000 collectively between all AbbyBank locations to provide local families a holiday meal. Monetary donations of all sizes are welcome along with any non-perishable food items. You can stop into any AbbyBank location to deliver your donation.

2023 Holiday Wishes Program

AbbyBank participated in a Holiday Wishes Tree at four of our locations. In 2023, the community helped us bring joy and the Christmas spirit to over 400 children in the Abbotsford, Medford, Wausau and Weston areas through our Holiday Wishes Trees. AbbyBank also participated with the Shawano County Toys for Tots Program in our Gresham and Shawano locations.

2023 Banks Never Ask That!

In the Month of October, AbbyBank is teaming up with the American Bankers Association (ABA) to help you learn how to spot a scam! Every year, thousands of people lose money to phishing scams. If a hacker were pretending to be your bank, would you be able to tell? Take the quiz to test your scammer IQ. Also, throughout the month of October, check out our Facebook and LinkedIn pages for information to help you spot common scams.

2023 Fill A Backpack Fill A Need

UPDATE: With the help of Peace Lutheran Church, and our collection sites, we were able to collect over 500 items this year to help local students with their school supplies!

Help local elementary and middle school students in need receive a backpack filled with school supplies for the new year! We are collecting at our Wausau, Weston and Abbotsford locations for the United Way of Marathon County/Workforce Volunteer Council - drop off locations in Wausau, 305 S. 18th Avenue; Weston, 2405 Schofield Avenue and Abbotsford, 401 E. Spruce Street. Collecting until August 13, 2023.

New large, colorful, durable backpacks
Crayons 24 ct.
Scissors
#2 pencils
Large pink erasers
Plastic pencil box
Rulers 12 in.
Color washable markers 8-12 ct.
Yellow highlighters
Wide lined notebooks
Wide lined loose-leaf paper
Pocket folders to match notebooks (red, yellow, green or blue)
Colored pencils 12ct.
Washable watercolor paints
Washable school glue bottles and glue sticks

2023 Shred Day - August 9th

Stop by our participating AbbyBank locations on the shred day to have your confidential documents shredded for free. Participating locations are, Abbotsford, Appleton, Medford, Shawano, Wausau and Weston. There is a limit of 2 boxes per person. Please try to only bring confidential documents that need to be shredded. Locked bins will be in our lobbies with slots at the top for you to insert your confidential documents. The bins will be locked up over night and picked up the following morning to be taken to a secure location off-site for shredding.

2023 Taste N' Glow Balloon Fest

Hot air balloons are coming to Wausau! See them in July west of Wausau. There will be plenty of things to do with the kids and fun things for the adults as well! AbbyBank is sponsoring Citrus in the Sky and Karalyn Mumm will be the pilot. Learn more on the Taste 'N Glow website.

We're showing our appreciation to our customers every Friday in June with free dairy treats at all of our locations. And best of all, by participating in this promotion, you're helping to support our local Wisconsin farmers.

Help local elementary and middle school students in need receive a backpack filled with food items during the new school year! We are collecting at our Medford AbbyBank location for the United Way of Taylor County - drop off in Medford, 215 S. 8th Street. Collecting until August 19, 2022.
