Samantha Tesmer

AbbyBank proudly welcomed Sam to its Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer in May 2025. An Abbotsford native with more than 17 years of banking experience, Sam has been part of the AbbyBank family since 2008. Her well-rounded background—spanning customer service, lending, and finance—gives her a deep understanding of both our operations and the people we serve. 

Sam holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Rasmussen College, is a licensed CPA, and a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at UW–Madison. She also earned an Executive Leadership Certificate from UW–Madison. Her strong financial expertise and commitment to integrity make her a natural fit to lead AbbyBank’s financial strategy and help guide our continued growth.

I believe in leading with integrity and being accountable to both our team and our customers. In my role as CFO, I oversee all financial aspects of AbbyBank—from budgeting and strategic planning to asset/liability management, reporting, and funding decisions.

With experience in customer service, lending, and finance, I’ve developed a broad perspective on how different areas of the bank work together. That insight helps me make thoughtful financial decisions that support our long-term goals and reflect the values we stand for.
