Supporting Wellness, Learning, and Inclusion in the Appleton Area

Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin – Fox Cities received $2,200 to purchase adaptive bicycles that will enhance both the offerings and standard of living for program participants. These specialized bikes support healthy living, encourage independence, and allow individuals to enjoy outdoor recreation in a safe, inclusive environment.
Riverview Gardens Inc. was awarded $2,500 to help construct a community teaching garden, which will support the organization’s ServiceWorks job training program and ServiceWorks Culinary program. The new space will be open to the public and include raised and ground-level garden beds, a path, and a pergola. It will provide participants with hands-on construction and horticultural experience while creating a welcoming space for the community.
