Supporting Safe Spaces for Families and Students
The AbbyBank Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce a $37,090 grant awarded to the School District of Abbotsford as part of its Spring grant cycle.
The funding supported the replacement of an aging playground set with new equipment located at the softball fields adjacent to the elementary school. This area serves not only students, but also the broader community, as it is part of a city park frequently used by families. The fields host middle school softball games as well as Abby Heat Youth Baseball & Softball/Colby Booster Club games throughout the summer, making it a popular gathering space for the community.
“We’re proud to support a project that benefits not only the school, but the entire community,” said Craig Stuedemann, President and CEO of AbbyBank. “This space brings families together, and having a safe, updated playground ensures kids have a fun, active place to enjoy while making lasting memories.”
The AbbyBank Foundation was formed in 1986 as a private charitable foundation of AbbyBank, which has contributed over $1,922,300 to the foundation. Since 1986, the foundation has made donations to Abbotsford, Appleton, Green Bay, Gresham, Medford, Shawano, Wausau, Weston, Withee and neighboring area organizations totaling over $1,498,980.91
