The AbbyBank Foundation, Inc. is proud to award $750 to The Colby Community Library to assist with updating the computer equipment used with its microfilm reader. This important upgrade will help preserve and provide continued access to valuable historical archives, which includes reels dating as far back as 1876, some of the oldest in the region, including historic newspapers from Clark County.

“The Colby Community Library plays an important role in preserving our region’s history,” said Karla Feldbruegge, Abbotsford Branch Manager at AbbyBank. “We’re proud to support their efforts to make this rich historical collection more accessible and to keep our community connected to its roots.”

The AbbyBank Foundation was formed in 1986 as a private charitable foundation of AbbyBank, which has contributed over $1,826,300 to the foundation. Since 1986, the foundation has made donations to Abbotsford, Appleton, Gresham, Medford, Shawano, Wausau, Weston, and neighboring area organizations totaling over $1,413,830.91.
