AbbyBank Foundation Awards $5,500 to Organizations in Clark and Taylor Counties

The AbbyBank Foundation awarded $5,500 to four organizations located in Clark and Taylor Counties during its Spring 2026 grant cycle, supporting community communication, education, youth development, and public safety initiatives across the north central Wisconsin region.

Strengthening Community Through Local Support

The AbbyBank Foundation, Inc. recently awarded a total of $5,500 to four organizations serving communities throughout Clark and Taylor Counties. These grants support projects that enhance local communication, educational opportunities, youth spaces, and emergency services for residents across the region.

Funding was awarded to:

AbbyColby Crossings Chamber of Commerce – $500 to assist with the purchase and installation of an electronic messaging center that will serve as a centralized communication tool for the communities of Abbotsford, Colby, Dorchester, Unity, Curtiss, and Milan, helping promote local businesses, community programs, and public announcements.
Friends of the Colby Community Library – $500 to enhance the library’s community room on the adult learning side, including the purchase of a large screen television, mounting system, cabling, and a portable podium to better support education classes and programming.
Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Center (Colby) – $2,000 to support improvements to the center’s outdoor playground, including new landscaping, secure six-foot fencing, an age-appropriate play set with a safe impact surface, and a large sandbox to create a safer and more engaging play environment for children ages 2-12.
Westboro Volunteer Fire Department – $2,500 to help support the purchase of a new fire engine, enhancing the department’s ability to respond to emergencies and serve the Town of Westboro and surrounding communities through mutual aid agreements across its 125-square-mile service area.

Since 1986, the foundation has made donations to Abbotsford, Appleton, Green Bay, Gresham, Medford, Shawano, Wausau, Weston, and neighboring area organizations totaling over $1,498,980.91.
