
Introducing Marisol Garcia: Your Driven Universal Banker
Since joining AbbyBank in June 2019, Marisol has grown tremendously both personally and professionally. Starting as a Teller while still a junior in high school, she has steadily advanced to her current role as a Lead Teller & Universal Banker as of June 2024.
In her role, Marisol plays a key part in training new tellers, answering their questions, and guiding them through challenging situations. She also helps create and document procedures to improve team operations. In addition, Marisol is proud to serve as a translator, helping Spanish-speaking customers feel more confident and understood. With a natural passion for both people and numbers, she finds true fulfillment in helping customers—especially those overcoming language barriers—grow financially over time.
What sets me apart?
For me, banking is about growth—both personal and professional—and helping others feel supported and confident in their financial journey. I began my career with AbbyBank in June 2019 as a Teller while still in high school. Since then, I’ve worked hard to grow within the organization and now serve as a Lead Teller & Universal Banker.
In my current role, I train new tellers, assist with day-to-day operations, and help guide team members through more complex situations. I also contribute to developing and documenting procedures to support a more efficient and consistent experience for both customers and staff.
One part of my job that’s especially meaningful is being able to assist Spanish-speaking customers by serving as a translator. Growing up in a Spanish-speaking household, I know how valuable it is to have someone who can help bridge that language gap and make banking feel more approachable.
What I enjoy most is working closely with people. Whether I’m supporting a teammate or assisting a customer, I strive to create an environment where others feel heard, understood, and empowered. I find true satisfaction in watching the progress of those around me—from tellers I’ve helped train, to customers gaining financial confidence.
At AbbyBank, I’ve found more than just a workplace—I’ve found a team I genuinely value and friendships that have made a lasting impact. I look forward to continuing to grow my career here while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our customers and community.
