Working Together While Working Apart
Would you like to help your community while practicing social distancing? AbbyBank is involved in a number of efforts to help out our communities during this time of need.
Donations of Hand Sewn Masks and PPE's (Personal Protective Equipment)
Healthcare providers are doing all they can to prepare for the anticipated health care needs of the communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a national shortage of some of the supplies and equipment needed to protect the health care workforce so that they can continue to serve patients during this crisis.
We are reaching out to businesses, schools and other organizations that may have the needed supplies and asking for donations of those items. The items we are seeking include:
- Sewn Face Masks (will be sanitized before distributing)
- N95 Masks
- Face Shields
If you can donate any of these items in any quantity, we would be extremely grateful. Donation drop boxes are located at AbbyBank locations in Abbotsford, Gresham, Medford, Shawano, Wausau and Weston. All donations collected in Abbotsford, Medford, Wausau and Weston will go to the Marshfield Clinic Health Systems, Ascension and Aspirus. All donations collected in Gresham and Shawano will be given to the Shawano Amublance Services and local volunteer Emergency Medical Responder groups who will help us distribute to Gresham, Belle Plaine , Wescott, Bonduel, Pella and Stockbridge EMS.
AbbyBank thanks all our front-line health care workers, EMT's, Med-Techs, Nurses, CNA's, Nurse Practioners and doctors who are being called on to fight this pandemic. With everyone's help and understanding we will get through this and come out a stronger community.
AbbyBank would like to thank everyone who is working behind the scenes to keep us safe and life moving. Thank you to the cleaning, maintenance, laundry and kitchen staff at the hospitals. Thank you to the police departments, firefighters, truck drivers, grocery stores and their employees that help keep the supply chain moving. Thank you to the restaurant cooks and staff that are offering take out. We can’t name you all but please know you are appreciated!
